How to Measure Your Ring Size

String method: wrap a piece of string or a paper strip around the widest part of your finger, mark the point where it overlaps and measure the length in mm. Divide this by 3.14 to give you the diameter. Check this against the ring size conversion chart below.

Existing ring method: place a ring that fits over a ruler and measure the inside width.

If you are between sizes go up by half a size e.g. T ½.

Make sure your hands are warm before you measure your finger as cold hands can lead to a smaller size.

Ring Measuring Tips

Ring height: Chunkier and wider rings will fit more snugly than thinner bands, so we recommend go up a half to full size larger for a more comfortable fit.

Time: Measure your ring size in the evening when fingers are bigger compared to the morning.

Temperature: Measure your finger when your hands are warm, cold hands can be a littler smaller size.

How to Measure a Ring in Secret

Ask a friend: Get a friend or family member to subtly ask.

Measure an existing ring: If you know it’s the right size for their finger place it over a ruler and measure the inside width. Compare your measurement to the ring chart to choose their size and if they are in between choose a half size bigger e.g. L ½.

Wait until they’re asleep: Measure they’re finger while they are asleep with a piece of string. Wrap it around their finger and measure the length. Divide this by 3.14 to find the diameter and check this against the size guide above.
